Terms of Service
Effective Date: June 1, 2025
By booking a charter with Sunset Coast Charters, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
1. Bookings and Payments
Please observe our minimum charter durations: 4 hours for Rottnest Island, 5 hours for Carnac Island, and 6 hours for Rottnest Island.
Tentative bookings will be held for 48 hours only.
To confirm a booking, a 35% deposit is required.
The remaining balance is due 7 days before your charter date.
A $500 bond is required to cover any damages and will be refunded after the trip if no damage is caused.
2. Cancellations and Refunds
If you cancel more than 7 days before the charter date, you will receive a full refund.
If you cancel 7 days or less before the charter, the deposit will be forfeited.
If Sunset Coast Charters must cancel the trip due to weather, mechanical issues, or safety concerns, a full refund or alternative date will be offered.
3. Pricing and Additional Charges
Charters are charged at $485 per hour.
A 20% surcharge applies on public holidays.
Additional fees may apply for selected jetty locations:
Free: Sardine Jetty, East Street Jetty
$250: Mosman Park, Claremont
$470: Barrack Street (one way from Fremantle)

4. Onboard Conduct
Maximum of 36 guests permitted.
No bottles of spirits allowed. Cans and pre-mixed drinks are permitted.
You must provide adequate food and water for all guests.
Guests are responsible for bringing ice, disposable cups, plates, and cutlery (or reusable alternatives that you take home).
You are liable for any damage to the vessel or equipment caused by you or your guests.
5. Safety and Compliance
All passengers must comply with the directions of the captain and crew at all times.
Sunset Coast Charters reserves the right to end the charter without refund if passenger behaviour endangers the vessel or others.
Life jackets and all required safety equipment are available onboard.
Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
6. Weather and Marine Conditions
The safety of guests and crew is our priority. If marine conditions are deemed unsafe, the charter may be rescheduled or cancelled with a full refund.
Weather-related cancellations are at the discretion of the captain.
7. Liability
Sunset Coast Charters is not responsible for any loss, damage, injury, or delay caused by third-party services (e.g. Stripe, PayPal, jetty access).
Guests board the vessel at their own risk and are responsible for their personal belongings.
